Is everyone in Puerto Rico a US citizen?

My friend told me Puerto Rico is a US territory and that makes all puerto ricans US citizens but I don’t know if he’s messing with me

    I realize that the ESE program you were educated in did not teach CIVICS, but yes, people in PR ARE US citizens whether you like it or not.

    Puerto Rican citizens are US citizens.

    People born on US Territory, which includes Puerto Rico, are "natural born" US citizens unless they are the children of diplomats with full diplomatic immunity.

    Yes, they are US citizens. As such, they can travel to the mainland US without a visa, stay here, work here, legally. It's part of the country.
