Was the Audi TT rs ROADSTER (mk2 8j 2007-2014) ever manufactured in US/Canada? If so is it still possible to buy one?
And if not. What countries did they manufacture them?
I'm talking SPECIFICALLY about the RS model (2.5L TFSI). Wikipedia talks nothing about this specific engine being part of the US market for ROADSTERS. And the link that was provided for the list of TTs is unfiltered and unreliable. Even if a TT RS Roadster goes on sale anywhere on the web, it'll never be listed on sites like CarFax especially with that search criteria. After doing more research I found a comment on Autocar saying they were imported in small numbers. So that's my answer probably.

Yes, they were imported into the US and Canada. To some degree the year determines just how much power (which engine was used) it will have.

They were all imports from Hungary. Ingolstadt, Germany (bodyshell) Győr, Hungary (engines and final assembly)
