What's a comfortable salary in Japan?

The jobs I'm looking at are making about ¥3,000,000 a year. Can I live comfortably off that? I don't plan to live in Tokyo or big expensive cities.

It's enough to get by, but it is not high living. There are other variables as well, such as if you will have to pay your whole health insurance premium every month, how much transport will cost you for commuting, etc.

It’s ok to start with a one bed house. But if you plan a family you will need more

That’s roughly 30,000 a year. I doubt that’s enough unless you have a roommate to help with rent and utilities.
