Am I the only idiot that used the wrong type of paper in my printer?

I used cheap paper it printed fine then I ran several prints of the same letter and the last print four pages of paper stuck to getter and jammed the printer and now it will not print at all even after clearing the jam out.  Hay learn from my mistake! Use the wright paper for the printer, so what if it cost twice as much, the printer will last longer!

I use cheap paper all the time. You just haven't cleared the jam completely yet. There's a tiny portion of the paper that's stuck right on the paper jam sensor. You may need to use a vacuum or a blower to take it out!

when you get a jam, and have to pull the paper out by force, sometimes tiny bits of torn paper end up pressed against the sensors telling the printer you still have a paper jam.  Open it up, and follow the paper path, use some canned air to clean it out.  Cheap thin paper is what most printers are designed to print on as that is the most prevalent available.
