God yes, they love all this and anything Western in Japan

Yes, American food is among the many other cuisines served in Japan,  You will be surprised by just how much varieties there are in Japan when it comes to restaurants. The best Italian food I ever had was in Japan.

However, you are missing out on a lot of things when you travel thousands of miles and spend large sums of your money to go visit another country like Japan only eat the same things you eat daily in the US. And it will be a large sum of your money because foreign foods are always going to costs more then the local cuisine.

You'd struggle to find steak for any halfway reasonable price, since steak is a high-class food in Japan, where cows are at a premium.

Don't go in that case. 

Yes , they do ...they even have a KFC , Burger King, Mc D's ...

Try Japanese food ! It's great !

I do know they have KFC. I read about some British expats who started having KFC on Christmas Day, the nearest thing to roast turkey they could find there. After a while, it asking became a popular tradition with some Japanese too.

Yes - you can find basic Western fast food there. But you'll be missing an opportunity to taste something far better. 

Those foods are popular in Japan, too. But size is generally smaller.

Countless places do - steak houses, family restaurants, fast food, Italian places etc. And while it may be somewhat pricier than where you are now, it doesn't have to break the bank. Naturally, bigger cities will have more selection.

That said, you are sorely cheating yourself if you don't try any Japanese food in Japan.

Yes, especially in the cities.  They have McDonalds.  They also have plenty of other American chain restaurants like TGI Friday's.
