Is train travel safe in 2021?

I am thinking of the east on Amtrak say from D.C. to NYC

    Amtrak is one of the safest ways to travel, as measured by million passenger miles.  For COVID, the usual measures of mask and social distancing are easy--masks are required, and seating observes social distancing.

    Its a pretty short trip, the trains are cleaned; you can wear a mask, sanitize and take your own wipes too.

    What do you mean by "safe"? It's certainly safer than traveling by car. If you mean COVID, wear a mask and wash your hands.
