it depends on the fight ahead of you really, the thing about most dark type is they usually have slow speed and low health, as for a fair amount of psychic type can get some really good stats like alakazam, or espeon if you raise them right and pokerust always helps, but dark pokemon seem to have less weakness, if you hit a psychic with that dark type he is done in two attacks, but a psychic never fails, while a dark type may also not stand a chance against most special type like fire or water
