I am a male who wants to learn how to apply make-up. what do you suggest?

Where do you live. It has a lot to do with your choice of colors. I could come by and show you all of the options. I have a special creamy lotion to smooth the Face and throat area. Garland

If you are "male" (which I doubt) what do you want with makeup? It is one thing to use a skin  lotion if you are working in a tough environment or outdoors in harsh weather, but are you talking eye-shadow, lipstick and other general female facial cosmetics?

If so, why?

Are you gay?

Or do you simply want to troll on this page?

hmmmm... youtube tutorials, ask your girlfriend or wife/daughter for help....

Wait till you are reborn as a female, then do it.

Skin type is easy. Are your oily or dry. Does just your nose and chin get oily. 

We have a NYX store in our mall. Two guys work there. It is a great place to go to get help and try out products.  Clinique is good for younger adults.   Getting the right color foundation can be tricky. I always need a lighter color than it would seem I need.  You need a place where you can test a color or a place that will allow you to return your make up.

You can get help at Sephora and Ulta or Mary Kay. 

A make up counter in an upscale store like Macy’s.

And with wearing make up don’t forget good skin care.

You don’t need to spend $60+ on a foundation to get a good product. But you don’t want to buy cheap stuff either.  

Try to apply make up in a good day light. Or at least check your self out by a window to see what what it really looks like on you.

You tube isnt too bad sometimes give you good ideas watching good make up ideas. you can try that or you can ask google on using reseach and ask them what are the best make up for men then click search button they will give some websites and there are many good images too and if you ever go stop by to mall centers where sell make ups there make up ladies and men who work there that really good to ask for they do men and women faces make up what kind of brands and ect colors and knows what kind of make ups skin type that great for your skin color.Ulta make up store has good make ups for clearance sells  dont want to buy cheap one because some time the old brand can cause skin problems  over dried . you can check on amazon online see what they have on there. 

Stores that deal in the sale of make up like Sephora have professional people that can assist you on the proper make up and how to wear it.

You approach a female friend whose makeup you like and who you think would not give you a hard time, and ask for her help.

Or, you can try a department store makeover.

However, I'm not sure how likely either of these are right now during covid.
