does alternate side parking exist in all neighborhoods or just some?

    Alternate side parking exists in virtually all parts of Manhattan that even have parking.  Most of the Bronx and large parts of Brooklyn and Queens have it.  Not so common on Staten Island.

    Mostly in New York where it's very crowded. Certainly not where I live. The people who live downtown, in condos and new housing, have either attached garages or parking lots.
