If Christians read and understood the bible, would they become Atheists?
Every person I know of that truly understands the bible is an atheist.
Thanks

It's not that simple. It CAN be that simple for some people. Others may be too deeply invested in their beliefs.
Some may have bought into Pascal's wager, despite its flaws.

No, they would become Latter-day Saint Christians. Refer to "To the Law and To the Testimony" for a good idea of what the Bible and other early Christian sources actually say.

No, of course not. Atheists refuse to understand the Bible. They suppress the truth of the Bible.

I can only speak for myself.
It had the reverse effect on me.
That is: I changed from a very lax and non-devout Christian
who imagined all of the ways that the Biblical miracles might have been faked
into a born-again Christian.

No. The more I study it, the more I believe.

Well, so far, that hasn't happened to me. But I've only been reading and studying it for about 40 years so what do I know?

I read your Atheist Bible,& it did not make me want to join your Atheist religion.

Yup it was the bible that did it for me. However no actually I'm not Atheist, I believe there could be a God and I believe something occurred and there are clues in the bible. God isn't homophobic nor is he cruel, I believe Christians need to stop singing and start reading.
