How old were you when you first got software to run on a PC?

what do you mean by "got software to run"? do you mean "successfully installed and used a program"? because technically, your computer comes preloaded with "software", like Notepad or Calculator or even Solitaire. heck, even Windows itself is a piece of software!

if you are talking about "aftermarket" programs, that you add yourself after buying a computer, i have to say, i was installing & running programs on computers long before i even owned one. our local Library had one, with internet, starting around the time i was 16. i got on almost every day after school, and eventually learned how to download things to FLOPPY DISKS, ZIP DRIVE DISKS, and eventually, to USB flash drives, at which point i realized i could totally install things to the external storage, despite having no access to the computer itself :)

I was 14. But this was in computer class which I eventually failed. lol.

I was in my early 20s, but that's because there were no such things as home, or office, computers when I was young.
