If our elections must be absolutely secure and error free, shouldn't our streets and freeways also be guaranteed perfectly safe?
To be sure our highways are safe, let's put up road blocks on every street and highway and stop every car EVERY DAY to be sure that 1) the driver's license is current and valid, 2) the car is registered and the driver is authorized to drive it, 3) insurance is current, 4) the car has passed a safety inspection, and 5) the driver can pass a sobriety test. Oh, and be sure there is no food or drink in the car, including water.
