Can solar panels charge an electric car at night in Australia?

At what cost a storage battery at home to collect the power during the day then charge the car when you get home? About what the telsla power wall was designed to do, It would be possible but a lot of solar cells would be required.
With the amount of mining required to make such solar cells and lithium battery's just don't expect us to think they are saving the environment
