A lot more than I thought. In high school, I had a frenemy who was left handed. At work, at one point, I think there were 3 left handers working in the department at the same time. Then there was another one who joined and left. So 5. 

Too many to bother counting. Left handedness is fairly common. Most of the time I wouldn't even know it about a person unless it gets mentioned when we arrange seating around a dining table or it could come up during sex, as Charlie mentioned.
