Why are black barbies just white barbies with dark skin? ?
They don’t give the black barbies “black features” . They literally just darkened the skin of the white ones and called them black.

I think it's cheaper for the company to produce darkened versions of white dolls instead of using individual molds for the faces. I'm guess the assumption is that children aren't going to notice anyway.
