Have you ever bought a digital Xboc game over the internet (and not through the Xbox itself)? Can you answer my questions ?

there's an Xbox game I wanna buy that came out during the 360 generation that is backwards compatible for the Series S. It's Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

I bought games from Walmart's website. When I do, it gives me me a 25 character code. Will Microsoft's Xbox store do the same, or will it want to download straight to the Xbox? I don't have regular internet connection to it. I have to go to my brother's house to install games. What do I do if I buy the game over my phone? Can I just install it at my brother's house, or what...?

I don't know how this stuff works.

when you boot up your xbox, go to the store from the home or xbox button in the center of the controller.  scroll down to the windows store logo at the bottom.  in the store on the left side of the screen you'll see icons.  the second from the bottom looks like a gift wrap box icon and it will say redeem.  it's above the gear or settings icon.  click on that, and type in your code.  and from there type in the code and will verify to download the game.
