    I watched the 1st season -- without Devito.  I didn't really get it.

    I watched the 1st and maybe 2nd ep with Devito and stopped watching.

    Its hilarious, the first 8 or so seasons have absolutely fantastic episodes and then it starts to go downhill a little but is still enjoyable. The characters are absolutely horrible people who make light of sexual assault or racism or other societal ills at times so if you don't think you'd enjoy that then maybe don't watch.
