More know of Severino than have read much of his sparsely translated works.  He seems to be radically Parmenidean in order to deny a posited Heraclitean nihilistic flux.  Am thinking Nicolas Berdyaev gave a more Christian development, along the lines of Groote's "The Following of Christ," in contemplations such as "Solitude and Society."  Howbeit, Severino's perspective was radical in his Vatican surround, inasmuch as he privileged a type of Gnosticism which values Being more than a "Father-God" doctrine that he apparently deemed obscurantist.

While he was not particularly pro-Heidegger, he shares some of the techne-concerns of Heidegger's "What Is Called Thinking?", and his "The Essence of Nihilism" frames capitalism-communism as a dual techne-dominated surround and thereby relates well to "The Soulless One."

I have never heard that name, as far as I can remember.
