How do you plan to celebrate Halloween this year?
10 AnswersHalloween9 months agoAny advice, hints, tips, tricks, etc., regarding a 1999 Cadillac SUV with 150,000+ miles is/are welcome.?
I know a few things about it. It's probably been driven in regular driving mode instead of third gear when it should have been; it uses or leaks oil; I already know it needs new tires and new brakes; it needs to have oil added somewhat frequently; the front fan motor doesn't work; and it's necessary to open the front doors by rolling down the windows and using the outer handles. The doors are also hard to open.
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 year agoThere was a contemporary gospel song in the early Nineties, but I don't remember the artist...?
Some of the lyrics were similar to the following:
"Got to let go of the little things before they wear you down.
Got to let go or they'll drag you to the bottom and hold you down.
<Another verse>
If you ever want to grow, you've got to let go."
Do any of you remember the artist/singer/vocalist?
1 AnswerLyrics2 years agoIf you had to choose only one, would you rather see the US Mint issue five-dollar coins, ten-dollar coins, twenty-dollar coins, or another?
Also, how much should a full roll come to?
I have nothing against twenty-dollar bills, but I still see signs in gas stations that indicate that no bill larger than a twenty is accepted.
6 AnswersOther - Business & Finance2 years agoPlease recommend a good home stereo receiver with HDMI inputs, Bluetooth, and Sirius/XM compatibility.?
I could be more specific, but I think the answers would be less interesting.
5 AnswersHome Theater2 years agoHave any of you experimented with maximum bit depths and sampling rates of WAV files to see which resolutions iPods will and will not play?
If so, what were the results, and if iPods wouldn't do what you wanted, what did you wind up using? I ask in part because Sony Hi-Res Walkmans are available, and I'm guessing other devices are, also.
1 AnswerSoftware2 years agoChoose a respected Republican and a respected Democrat to run as Independents for President and Vice-President in 2020.?
For example, Mitt Romney and John Kerry, or Colin Powell and Elizabeth Warren.
5 AnswersPolitics2 years agoWhat's the reasoning for the argument that formally writing into law that Social Security _must_ be funded will destroy it?
It seems as though Fred Thompson once said so, but he did not go into specifics or details, at least on that occasion. How does the argument work?
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics3 years agoI live in the US and sometimes hear stories about malnourished baby orangutans in Borneo or Sumatra who were fed condensed milk...?
What should they have been fed instead? It seems unlikely that their mothers' breasts excreted orange juice, pineapple juice, papaya juice, fruit cocktail juice, and so on.
I'm not insensitive to the issue, but milk seems as though it would be the best bet, so please enlighten me.
2 AnswersOther - Environment3 years agoDo Blu-ray players and UHD Blu-ray players recognize a USB keyboard plugged into the front USB media reader?
It would seem that searching for titles at Netflix would be much faster with a keyboard than with the player's remote. I haven't tried it because I can't find mine, and my PC uses a PS/2 keyboard.
