  • Christians, can you please explain something to me?

Why is it that when someone dies the typical response is "He/she is in a better place now" or "They are in heaven with God", but at the same time it is a sad occassion?

If those statements are true, then shouldn't you be happy for the person who died? Isn't it just selfish to wish they were still here?

These are honest questions... I'm not "picking on the Christians", so please no smartass comments.

  • What would you do?

It doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time,

and this should help get you started.

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director what the

criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a

straw, a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to

    empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the

bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

    What would you do?

  • 10 points to the first correct answer.?

There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word — from nine letters right down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time? There is more than one possible answer, but do not use plural form of nouns.
