Need to locate cam for fz250?
I have a 1985 Yamaha/Genesis fz250cc,in line 4, duel overhead cam,16 valve liquid cooled.I am looking for exhaust cam.please guys don't tell me to get online as I have been to I think every site trying to locate a cam or maybe cams for this motor.I would like to locate someone that has a bike that is blown up or willing to part out the bike as I am living in the Philippines and need the cam or cams only, maybe a cylinder block but don't really need that. Please if someone here can direct me to someone that has a bike of this kind I would be very thankful.

I have a 1985 Yamaha(Genises) fz250cc dohc 16 valve inline 4 cyl.,50 plus hp at 16,000 rpm the carbs have never had the air/fuel mixture screw opened so the adjustment can be done. I need to know the location of the adjustment screw so i can drill it out to do the adjustment to get my fuel mileage from about 12 klm a lit to near 50 as the factory says it will get, I will be happy to get 35 or 40 but not 12.please don't say to get a manual for it as i have tried to locate and never found.The bike is in Philippines and was only made for Japan and never was to leave there.It's fun and lots of power for a small engine but wow the cost to play is getting to much to handle,At high RPM it runs great but over loads the engine at idle,plugs after running hard is a nice color of tan but at low speeds they get black from to much fuel.Please can anyone help for the location of the air/fuel screw?

i have a fz250cc it has 50 plus hp at 16,000 rpm red line, 6 speed, dohc, 16 valves water cooled engine. rear tire is 130/90-16.its a small bike but it is scary for top speed for me anyways.

ok i have a genesis fz250 phazer and the top speed is only 100klm's i think the gas is restricted going through the high speed metering valves as i have had them cleaned but i found that the passages through the carbs was clogged.i found a very small o-ring in the jet that was smaller than the low speed jet.is this how the top speed would be restricted? im old but dont like to be cheated for power!
