1 week agoWhy would someone pretend to be away but really be at home?
So a long time friend is checking in that they went to Las Vegas. The stories kept changing. At first they were driving and the day they were going to leave they said they all sudden was going to fly. We know the person is not where they said they went. They checked that they were in an airport but anyone can put where they want to be. I even did that by mistake. They are not showing any photos of their vacation just check ins. They are also a narcissist.
2 Answers2 weeks agoCan some one explain the concept of thrust-to-weight ratio and why big factor of airplane design?
If the thrust-to-weight ratio is to low does this mean it is too heavy and will not take of? No matter how strong the engine is or power you give it? So engineers want high thrust-to-weight ratio?
Also why is energy efficiency big factor if works or not? If it has low energy efficiency does this mean it takes more power than all the components it self?
2 weeks agoCan I fly with no ID?
Okay so I had a trip planned to Cancun flying out of the airport in Tijuana. Unfortunately my purse was stolen with my ID and passport. I have a copy of my ID, birth certificate, and my social security card. Is it worth a try to get through?
11 Answers2 weeks agoAir travel while partially vaccinated?
I had planned a trip to New York with some family for late April. At the time we didn’t know what the vaccination situation would look like. A month ago, I backed out of the trip but didn’t cancel anything formally. The folks I was going with were early vaccine recipients so planned to move forward. Then, I unexpectedly got my first Pfizer dose in early April. The trip would fall a few days before I’d go in for my second dose. Part of me feels like it shouldn’t change anything. I’m not fully vaccinated. There will be other trips if I just wait a few weeks, right? The people I would be going with really want me to go. They point out that protection may be upwards of 80% after one dose. I’m feeling pretty torn.
6 Answers2 weeks agoIf u book a flight for multiple people using everyone's own FF#, but cancel it for credit, does everyone get their own credit back?
Basically I am booking a flight on American Airlines for myself and 5 other people, when adding passenger information I put everyones own frequent flyer number. For whatever reason if we have to cancel or the flight gets canceled and we receive a credit, would everyone get credit applied to their AArewards account or would it only go to the person who booked the flight's account.

6 Answers3 weeks agoShould I have to pay extra for an airline ticket since I'm ugly?
I understand that fat people might have to pay extra for an airline ticket because they take up two seats but then shouldn't I have to also pay extra since I'm ugly? No one should have to be inconvenienced by having to stare at such an ugly person for hours on a flight. If it's good for fat people to pay extra the same should apply to ugly people like me it seems?

3 Answers4 weeks agoWhy is a mask still federal law, even though the CDC said vaccinated people can now travel?
I don't get why were never getting rid of the face masks. The CDC said that people who have been vaccinated can now travel, but still have to wear a mask. Makes me wonder if masks are going to remain on planes forever, at least in the United States. In Europe and other countries, they will do away with masks on planes, but I feel it's forever in the United States.
I imagine in the year 2035, if your in Europe boarding a flight to the United States, the gate agent without a mask will tell all the people going to the United States to wear a mask over their nose and mouth. And then on the 8-12 hour flight, they will tell you to only remove the mask while taking a bite or a sip. If you sleep with the mask off, you will be awaken with a warning card to put the mask back on.
I think many people want this, and I'm seeing it happen. I also think that in 2035, 5-10 million people will be banned from flying forever for not wearing a mask.

5 Answers4 weeks agoHow much does Fly Ash cost?
I'd like to know, the cost of fly ash in pounds in the US or specifically in Chicago and if that is currently in 2021? I can't find the cost of fly ash per pound currently since websites are dated to 2006.
