What are the symptoms of a heart attack or if its blocked where its not a heart attack yet ?
My left arm aches in the tricep and shoulder and kinda feels like icy hot and tingly in my hand slightly. I have no chest pain, no shortness of breath, no sweating. Its been like this for 2 says. I lift weights 3 times a week and do the elliptical high intensity without feeling sick. I've always been in shape I ran track my whole life and did outrages workouts last year. My friend says if I had blockage I would be sick and or quitting even at light intensity. I think its just blockage and no heart attack yet.

Dad's BP in these two months....?
Favorite Answer:140 to 180 over normal is the definition of a wide pulse pressure (you can google that term if you would like) which could be caused by atherosclerosis which is not exactly out of the ordinary for senior citizens. But there are also other factors that can manifest as an elevated SBP. Good for you (& him) for the diet & exercise & BP checks. But hypertension is known as the silent killer for a reason. Blood work would be a great idea to get an idea of your dad's lipid profile, & if way out of parameters, a statin drug is an easy fix. But as I typed, hypertension is called the silent killer for a reason, & regardless of the cause, the quicker it comes down, the better chance of a long to longer life, & there are multiple meds that can achieve that goal.
That was the long answer.
The short answer is: yes, get him in to see a doc.

Does either one surprise you?
I'm a security guard. I have had to many times go up to people sleeping on our property and ask them to leave. The first time I did it my heart was racing (I was scared). Last time I did it, my heart wasn't racing.
Similarly, my cousin is a firefighter and the first time she went into a burning building, her legs were shaking (she was scared). Last time she did it (done it several times by now) her legs don't shake
Does either one surprise you?

What should I do about my high cholesterol at 35?
Favorite Answer:Simply and easily lower it back to normal by eating only whole foods and drinking only water, unsweetened teas and unflavored milk.
In fact, it was straying from the human diet that caused 99.9999% of excess cholesterol.
Same thing with the obesity.
Good day.
