A question about lizards....?

I live in the desert in the West Texas town of El Paso... I have lived here most of my life. But recently, I have noticed these little, tiny lizards in my house. Some of them are only 1 inch long or so and the biggest one I have seen is about 3-4 inches. They are a coral color, almost orange. They are really cute and everything, but does anyone know what they might be and should I be concerned about the recent influx of them appearing in my home? I thought they might be geckos, but I thought geckos were more of a tropical lizard (I could be very wrong!) I try to get them out, but they are so quick!

I am from Texas and there are Geckos. You can tell by looking at their toes. If the tips are slightly rounded and flatter, you have geckos. Either way, you shouldn't be too concerned with them. Changes in the weather can affect their populations, and sudden changes can cause them to seek refuge in and around your home. They are cute and harmless. And you should welcome them, because they will eat the other bugs you'd rather not have in your home. And it's good luck to have them in your home..... ;)

  • we have them where i live, i dont know the name of them, i do know they aint gecko's tho. they hide in out of the way places & if i get a chance, i usually just collect them & set them outside. I figure they come in from the weather. I think they are very cute & a friend of mine says that if they visit, they bring your house good luck (im not sure about that either). I do know they are harmless.
