The vents in my mobile home have condensation IN them,(not on them) is this normal?

We had a NEW system installed about 8 months ago. We just noticed that he ran the drain for the condensation straight down into the crawl space. Its a 10 Ser . . . . when questioned, he said that we didnt have enough condensation to matter if was ran outside or not. I have been waiting on him to call back to explain the water build up in my vents we just noticed tonight.

the problem with the condensation in the vents usually indicates your unit is having to run to long to cool your home and is not effectively removing the moisture from the home..the moisture is condensing in your vents could also show you dont have enough air movement ....the condensate line from your ac should always be drained to the outside of your home and never under it...any contractor that does this is in violation of most state and local laws...most states have state offices for hvac that you can call and get more information or even tell you how to contact your local hvac inspector...

I would call him. Condensation should never remain underneath a residence. No amount of moisture should be knowingly allowed to drain there. An inspector would ask for the condensation to be ran all the way out from under the residence. I see no reason why the installer wouldn't come back out to fix it, except laziness.

#1..Do not accept the condensation being drained below the house...it must be plumbed to the exterior

#2.. Sounds like your unit is having to run to long to cool the house..i.e. the condensation in the vents..make sure they replaced all of the insulation under the mobil home after the install ..could have excessive heat around a/c ducts causing condensation.

Another thing I have seen is that when the drain is backing up it will spill over into the ductwork of a mobile home. You should have the service company come back and check the drain and it does need to be run outside the skirting on the mobile home.

no it is not normal or correct. no drain tubes should be allowed to drain under your house. any time it gets warmer and humid you will get more water under your house which allows for a host of problems such as mildew, wood rot, ect. Explain that you are not happy with this, and that you would like this issue fixed. if he is unwilling, i would further my steps accordingly.
