Bearded Dragon Arm Waving?

I got a baby bearded dragon not too long ago. I was sitting on my bed and it starred at me and started waving its arm in circles. I know it means something about submission but i thought they only did that to other bearded dragons. It did this right after I gave it crickets so does that mean it like accepts me or something?

When I had beardies, I could occasionally get them to do it if I waved my hand first in a circular motion. Also, I could trick them sometimes by putting a mirror in front of them and they would do it. I'm not 100% sure of the reason. I read once that it was kind of a greeting or acknowledging that it was aware of another beardie's presence. It's definitely entertaining.

First off, arm waving is NOT a sign of dominance. I think these people are thinking of head bobbing, which IS a sign of dominance. The EXACT meaning of arm waving is unknown, however it seems to be more submissive than the head bob. It really seems to be just a greeting, IMO. The guy is just getting to know the chica right now. He is letting her know, "Hey babe, I'm not gonna kill ya', kay?" and possibly "So...you come here often?" XD Anyways, the female is still probably a little unsure of the situation. This is all new for her and she is just taking in the situation before she makes her move. She could be saying, "Yeah, I hear ya', but I'm not sure I can let my guard down just yet." or she may be saying, "Why is loser waving at me?" Who knows what's going through her mind right now. Just give her some time. She might wave, she might not. That part is up to her. Now get off the computer and get a camera. You can get some frickin cute pics of waving beardies. XD
