  • Interacting with a ghost, outside opinions? [constructive plz. Don't waste your time and mine]?

My friend has claimed to live in a haunted house since I've known him and have been backed by his parents and his closest friends who've all experienced something. It's shaken the bed with our mutual friend on it, another saw orbs and my friend himself caught screaming on a evp [mind you he antagonizes it..] So we got a Ouija board and took all the precautions; 3 white candles, silve, salt, quartz. Nothing happened. In his basement he had concrete enclosed shower maybe 4x4. I took his laptop and started asking it questions, I was very polite and when I was done thanked it for it's time. Ironically I walked out saying nothing happened. Shorty after I got home my friend messages me on Facebook saying we got a voice. This is the order of what we thought it said, first; let me out;let me up; and when we enhance it sound like "F sh!t up" At that time I had set a white candle down and knelled onto the floor to pick up the power cord that kept falling and it's right after I complain that it keeps coming out that you can hear it.

I am the first person it has actually responded to, albeit not screaming, so my friend wants me to do it again. We suggested using our other female friends in speculating that maybe it like women or that it responded because I was the first one to be respectful towards it as I do not believe in antagonizing spirits or insulting them to see violent reactions. I myself have had 2 of 4 house I've lived in be haunted to which I have had multiple experiences with to the point we I spontaneously developed sleep walking issues during our stay. My own mother who is also a believer [my whole family experience activity] believes I'm just more open to communication. I'm nervous though, lately I cant sleep without light [no reason has lead me other than paranoia] I don't want it to be overly 'fond' of me if thats the case and follow me home. My friend said the ghost has never been harmful all it does is slam doors and when he was younger it would tug on him occasionally. I as well calm myself by thinking that if it was evil or dangerous something bad would've have happened to him by now as he's lived there his whole life. Still I am weary of agitating the spirit. I'm just curious as to others opinions on what I am doing.

Thank you for you're time and effort!

and please, I am ware of the skepticism on the topic, I'm not so petty as to waste the last 5 mins writing this out to receive online attention from a faceless audience. Constructive responses please.

  • My Best Guy friend is going to ask me out tomorrow?

I am 99.9% sure of this. He told me on the phone he needs to tell me something and when I said what's up he said he wants to talk to me about it person and we're hanging out tomorrow afternoon. As said he is my best friend but what makes me so sure is how he has been acting lately and something one of our mutual friends let slip out.

I like him too but first and foremost I consider him the best guy friend I've ever had. Normally I don't take dating seriously and have only had casual flings with guys who I quickly lost interest in. I want to say yes but I don't know how to say it [if that makes sense] I guess I'm just nervous about taking that step from best friend to boyfriend. I'm basically asking for some advice on the situation in making step and saying yes from people who've experience this. All my friends do is go on about how cute they think it is since we're so close and all that...I'm looking for useful, unbiased opinions.

Thanks so much for taking the time out for my question, it's much appreciated!

  • Questions about college [SAT, Sending scores etc.]?

I took the SAT for the first time [600 Reading - 390 Math- 550 Writing]. I am taking it again in January but I'm worried it will lessen my chances even more. I have my sights set on IUPUI or Purdue West Lafayette for pharmacy. My math score is pretty bad so I'm nervous about sending them. One of my friends is sending her scores and then taking it again and resending them. Is that a good idea? I'm worried that if I get rejected can I send the new scores in and will they reconsider?

By the way my current high school GPA is 3.0 [surgery during freshmen year messed me up and I explained it on the space provided in the app.] but since the 3rd trimester of sophomore year I've gotten no lower than a B-.

Thank you for your time and effort!

I would really appreciate some opinions on this~

  • Ceramic Heat Emitter question?

I want to buy a ceramic heat emitter for my bearded dragon to have on at night because it gets cold in my room especially now that we have the AC on. It generally gets down to the upper 60s. Would a 60watt make it as warm as it needs to be? Its a custom enclosure 42Wx30Hx24D.

  • Chicago House of Blues policy concerns?

I'm going to a concert on the 23rd. I want to take a purse to hold necessities and merch because I'm going to be in Chicago all day. I've tried to find the answer for myself but I'm getting mixed messages. Am I aloud to have a purse with me when going into the concert or will they take it? I'm going by train so I wont have a car to leave it in. I've also heard something about having to purchase a locker? Lastly I heard something about if you eat at the restaurant beforehand you get a fast line pass or something. Is it true and if the doors open at 7:30 when do I have to be at the restaurant by?

  • A little uncertain of my sign?

I was supposed to be born in June and be a Gemini but ended up not being born for an extra month making it July and causing me to be considered a Cancer. However since I was supposed to be born in June would it be possible to be more of a Gemini than a cancer?

I ask this because from reading books or horoscopes and such with my friends, when stuff about them would be dead on felt like I was reading a bunch of nonsense. For example: Cancers are supposed to be clingy, homely, and want families and such. Whereas I lean more to Gemini because I get restless when I'm bored at home, a family is the last thing I have in mind and desire immense freedom. Also I cant stand pack rats, this coming from my mother whose sign is a cancer and we are pretty much polar opposites in the traits we are supposed to have.

    Thank you for your time~

  • College Cost [In-state/Out of State]?

I'm most likely going to go to an out of state college. What I want to know is that if I buy a place to live out there will I be considered in the In-state pricing? My brother said he's not sure but that to be considered an in-state student I'd have to have lived there a year for residency. If that is the case would putting college off a year to claim residency harm or effect me in any way? I'm thinking of doing this because the two prices listed varies by $22,000.000 and is my first choice.

It is in Virginia by the way.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my and answer my question.

  • Increase Running Stamina?

I pretty much suck at running. I have no endurance, a little after a minute and I am done! I am overweight but I have been losing yet I see girls half my size who still have problems so my common sense told me being thin and fit are two different things. I wanna be able to run for two reasons.

    1. Found out next year I have a gym teacher who makes us run almost everyday and bluntly, always being the last to finish would be pretty embarrassing.

    2. When I reach my target weight I'd like to get into soccer

I'd like to know if there is a certain routine to get my body accustomed to running longer. Also is it possible to get better at running by using a stationary bike? I don't live in too good a neighborhood and I have to fight with my mom just to be able to walk to a friends house let alone get permission to run around aimlessly...I figured as long as I got my heart rate used to being up that it would also effect my running.

    Thanks for you input.

Also we will be passing through the states

    Kentucky

    Tennessee

    Georgia

    South Carolina

So anything worth doing in those places would be appreciated as well.

Only 2 of us will be 18, everyone else will be 17. [just thought that would be important to know]

  • Advice for a soon to be saved Guinea Pig?

My friend has a Guinea pig [well her little sister] but she does not get taken care of. I don't know much about them but I don't think their fur is supposed to feel like a broom [specially when i was told it wasn't always like that] they broke the aquarium they where keeping it in, which i don't think was good to start of with anyway, and are now keeping her in a storage container without the lid [they have cats] about the same size container I use for my Bearded Dragons crickets!None of them wanted it and the little girl it belonged to only fed it lettuce. I never really liked Guinea pigs but I felt bad for the poor thing and got attached. Her mom walked passed me when I was petting it and was like "wanna Guinea pig" I just said "I don't know" I talked to my mom about it and convinced her to let me adopt her we just have to wait until I get a cage.

How big of a cage do I need, and just overall things about Guinea Pigs. I am looking up information on google but personal advice and care preferences are appreciated.

Oh and names too please, nothing is coming to mind! They named her Princess Isabelle but I don't really like it and she doesn't seem to even know that's her name. She looks similar to this one:

  • A little input on getting a ferret or rat

I have 5 female rats right now. Sadly, they are getting a little old now and my mom gave me the option of getting more rats or getting a ferret or two.

I know what its like to have rats [obviously] so this is mostly a question about ferrets as well as getting personal opinions on whether I should stick with rats or try ferrets.

Do ferrets need to be in pairs? I'd prefer one but wouldn't mind two if it was necessary.

I know ferrets need shots but what kind and if you have an average price range that would be helpful.

What health problems are ferrets prone to?

Personal experience, how destructive are ferrets or what are things that frustrate you about them?

Is there a difference in behavior between male and female?

Is it worth getting male ferrets neutered?

I have a cat but she is very aloof would it be a problem if I kept them separated during free time?

Any breeders in the Hammond Indiana area you are aware of? Though I would prefer adopting from a shelter if there is one nearby.

A brief daily routine on caring for your ferret if you don't mind.

You input and information is appreciated, thanks.

  • Some help on problems with my mom please

My mom is a great mom, to rid anyone from thinking this is gonna be a rant about how mean she is to me.

The problem is my mom doesn't take care of herself. We don't have any money problems so I don't see why she is the way she is. She never buys herself new clothes, quality makeup, perfumes, or anything she likes. Every time I tell her to get something I see her eying up she says there's other things the money should go to. As if we're hard on cash. So I opt to put clothes back that equal up to same amount as say a pair of pants she wants and she still refuses until I say I'm not getting anything if she doesn't get them.

She make $13.50 an hour and gets around $600-$700 depending on the hours and my step dad works for a steel mill and makes at least $900 a week. However he's the type who act like we're going bankrupt even though he's loaded and we're financial fine unless its something he want. So when I tried to get him to take her shopping I got blown off with a "I pay the bills" speech.

I recently got my drivers license and 2 jobs. One with set hours my best friend got me at her dads restaurant and the other when they call me when they need me with my oldest brother. I get around $500 depending on the 2nd job but I put at least $200 away because after high school I want to study abroad in Europe. I got the jobs partly because I have expensive taste [not purposely, I'm not "it has to be name brand" i just have the luck of liking something without looking at the price tag and it turns out to expensive] and partly so my mom wont have to buy it for me. Now I lie to my mom. When I go shopping with friends I'll buy a couple things I'd think she'd like [Everyone knows I wear what I like so its not like I cause any suspicion] and then tell her I thought they'd shrink in the wash but now they're too big and she can have them. Or when I buy makeup I buy 2 of each, hide one and tell here that they're the old ones and I bought new makeup. With perfume I will say something like "i'm tired of this smell".

Now my mom takes this as me being shallow and ungrateful and constantly nags on me about how I need to learn the value of a dollar and stop being superficial. I still do it even though now we argue and tell her if she doesn't take it it's going in the trash because I know she is not a wasteful person, but now she thinks I am.

Ever sense I've been doing this I've noticed she seems to take more pride in the way she looks and seems more positive about herself. She's been through a lot with my real dad and her parents so I figure she deserves it and its worth her starting to not like me so much.

It does bother me though that she thinks of me this way and no matter what I tell her she wont indulge a little on things she wants. I don’t want my mom to not like me but I also don’t want her to go back to not liking herself.

I know this was long, but anyone have some advice?

    Thanks

  • Bearded Dragon Questions?

A few questions about my bearded dragon I got on the 12th.

I loved lights and enclosures and stuff before I got him so its just really behavior questions or ones I can’t find answers to.

I don’t know by months his age but He’s about 6 or 7 inches.

    1. How often do they shed? I spray him daily but how often can I give him a bath? I let him walk around in a bin filled with little water for 10min every 2 days, it that good?

    2. How do I get him to eat vegetables. I know they are supposed to have only a little but he wont touch them. I feed him 3 hrs after the lights go on before crickets hoping he’d be hungry enough but he still wont touch them.

    3. He wont drink water unless its moving so if I get one of those waterfall dishes will it create too much humidity?

    4. I got him from a family owned pet shop [no breeders or at least any that had some available]

I wanted a plain grey one because I don’t really like the reds and yellow. I don’t think they were feeding him right because they said he was a runt which is why he was so small compared to the others. But only a shortly after I got him and fed him vitamins and skin spray he started to get fuller and the spike like things on his sides and heads started to get fuller. I think it was because he was the only plain one they figured no one would want him anyway. But now his color has started to change. He was really dark and now his head is like a cream yellow with brown/orange-ish stripes that fade out into a sort of grey powder blue with a deep grey stripe going down his back and evenly spaced zebra like stripes on either side of that stripe. The spikes are yellow and the bottom of his feet sort of zigzag from the blue color and deep yellow until it fades into the powder blue. This happened a week I was gone and my brother was watching him and it sorta freaked me out. Is that a normal coloration? I’ve never seen blue dragons.

    5. This questions is more to settle an argument. My brother said because he is really well colored that we should breed him. I told I’m not interested in all the work. Also that breeding an animal can lower their lifespan and most people want solid yellow or red. Is that true or did I read wrong.

    6. My main question and concern, he’s been shedding well but this time on his left eye he’s having some problems. A piece of skin got in his eye and I went and bought eye drops for reptiles and flushed it out. There is still loose skin that won’t shed and it seems to be irritating his eye, is there something I can do to help him shed there or is this something only a vet should deal with. I don’t want to pull it cause I don’t want to hurt him, plus he doesn’t like it.

It’s long, but I appreciate your responses.

  • Afraid to Die?

Not sure if this goes in psychology or spirituality...oh well. I know this must be pretty typical and a pretty dumb question. But as said I'm afraid to die.The only thing that scares me about it is losing my consciousness. Like all my memories and thoughts will be gone. I don't care about judgment or not seeing anyone again, I just don't want to... I don't know, disappear. My question is does anyone feel the same and if so have you gotten over it and how?

  • Bearded Dragon Arm Waving?

I got a baby bearded dragon not too long ago. I was sitting on my bed and it starred at me and started waving its arm in circles. I know it means something about submission but i thought they only did that to other bearded dragons. It did this right after I gave it crickets so does that mean it like accepts me or something?
