How old was your baby when he/she rolled from back to tummy?

My 7 month old son still hasn't rolled from his back to his tummy. He rolled from tummy to back at 5 months and does it all the time. Do some kids just hate being on their tummy so much, they have no motivation to roll onto it? He also still loves being swaddled for all naps and at night and will not go to sleep without it. Could this be delaying him since he can't use his arms or legs to roll over in his sleep?

Update:

He's sitting up unsupported and loves to stand while holding onto the coffee table so in other areas he's not delayed at all...just this rolling issue.

Back to tummy is hard mommy! Be patient ;) You know, they give these general guidelines as to when babies are "SUPPOSED" to do things, but every baby is different. Dont worry, he will not call you from his college dorm one day and ask you to come help him roll from his back to his tummy. He'll get it when he's ready! :)

Mine was 6 months, but he started crawling immediately after and so might your son! My friends 8 month old has still not rolled from back to front. My son is 10 months now and he still can't sit properly, he is close to walking now and stands on his own for a few seconds at a time but he still won't sit with his legs out, he'll kneel down on his bum which is a development just this last week, and I've been to the doctors about that who told me it was fine, they all just develop at different rates, worry not!! :-)

I think my daughter was about 10 months when she rolled onto her stomach. She hated tummy time, so she learned to roll onto her back early but she didn't have much interest in rolling onto her stomach until just before she learned to crawl.

2 weeks - front to back

8 weeks - back to front

I'm not really sure how to answer this....I am not really a "ask your doctor" type of person, but in this case I think I would bring it up at his next checkup. Is he sitting up?
