I need help on the modem on my computer (just like what the title says). I'm thinking of changing the OS in my computer to Windows Vista XP SP3 and the driver for the modem will be gone. I have the CD here in our house because the cable operator who installed it accidentally left it.
Question: Do I need any specific information for me to install it or can I install it by my own? I don't want to risk doing anything in my computer if I can't do it on my own and I don't want to let the operator install it again because the re-installation through them has a payment.

No it isn't that hard, but I came across a problem with my Scientifi-Atlanta modem, but might just be mine. There isn't a simple "Install" button on the CD, just a guide on how to do it yourself. It'll take few minutes to understand the guide but aside from that you shouldn't have any problems. Feel free to email me and I'll help you go through the setup.
