  • Cannot access slave disk drive?

I was checking my PC and when I tried to open my slave drive, a message box pops-up and say "D:\ Access is denied", I don't know how that happened. I just installed Microsoft VisualBasic 6.0 yesterday because I need it. The slave drive picture is a folder instead of a disk drive picture.

  • Computer not booting?

My computer's not booting up when I turned it on when I got home. Earlier in the day, I deleted a file called "csrsc.exe" because it has been detected by my antivirus as a trojan. So, I researched on how to delete it. The PC was fine, running as usual. Just like what I said, when I tried to turn it on when I got home, it didn't boot up. It only says "System failed, CPU test". I tried to clean it again knowing that when it acts like that, a little clean up is needed, but, no. I have cleaned the RAM and removed the dusts but it still not booting up. Help, please?

(I'm using someone else's PC just to ask this question.)

  • System failed, CPU test?

I have an ASUS P4S533 Motherboard and the problem is that when I turns it on after it shut down by itself, a nagging voice keeps saying "System failed, CPU test". I will try to remove and place back the RAM on the slot and even reconnect the wires for the HDD, it will turn on, eventually. Then the name of the Motherboard will show up and freezes. I will try to turn it off then on again, then "System failed, CPU test" will occur again. That warning only happened one time before and it keeps on doing that again since my computer started to turn off by itself and I have to wait for a couple of minutes to an hour to get it on running again.

Here's the specs of my PC:

    -2x 512mb RAM

    -40Gb HDD

    -Pentium 4

    -Windows XP SP3

    and a - ASUS P4S533 Motherboard

  • Sony PSP game suddenly gone?

    Here's the situation:

My mom was playing Wall-E on PSP then all of the sudden, something went wrong. Then when she checked on the home to see the games, all of the games were gone. But the saved data from the games weren't. There are five games (Wall-E, Tekken Underground, Need for Speed, GTA: VIce City Stories and Exit) that all went gone.

Any idea to get those games back? The PSP isn't ours and the owner doesn't have an idea that just happened. Help please?

    Thanks.

  • Internal and External HDD?

I have a 40gb (I know - sad) HDD installed on my PC and my mom is going to buy a new 160gb internal HDD for more storage since I always download musics, pictures and videos. Also, I'm an IT student, so I really needed the space to save all my work.

So, my question is: if I remove my old HDD and replace it with a new internal HDD, can I install back the old hard drive for me to use or should I stick to the new hard drive? Can I use the old internal HDD as an external HDD? How can I remove the OS from the old internal HDD if I can use it as an external HDD?

I really am not a computer hardware whiz as you can tell. I wouldn't be asking a lot of questions if I am a computer hardware whiz. Anyway, thank you for helping out. :)

  • PC won't turn on --HELP please?

Here's the thing, the power switch of the CPU won't turn on. Last Sunday night, when I turned it on, the keyboard and mouse is not working. Then the next day, it won't turn on when I cleaned up the inside of the CPU.

I've changed the power supply because it was not working, nothing happened. It is still not working. I've tried to change the power cord for the CPU, still, it's not turning on. There's a light on the motherboard but not on the main power switch. I've consulted my cousin about the problem also, but, he too doesn't know the problem.

Help please? I badly needed my PC to run because I have a group project to submit in a matter of weeks and if I didn't get to run it, my group and I are doomed on our grades. I'm using someone else PC just to ask this question.

  • webcam problem help.?

I have A4tech PK-836mj webcam. I have plugged it in and it works fine. I also installed the added apps that is on the CD. I don't have any problem using it -- whether I'm taking a picture or just viewing if it really is working properly.

The problem is when I'm using it on Yahoo! Messenger. I'm trying it out for a couple of days now but the webcam screen shows black, as in nothing. (Don't answer about having not enough light because I know there are enough lights when I'm using it.) I also checked it on the Yahoo! Messenger Help site but it shows no images also.

My cousin said that it needs a driver before I can use it on messenger but on the box it said "Driver-free". So, what do you think is the problem?

  • Scientific-Atlanta WebSTAR help?

    I edited this question..

I need help on the modem on my computer (just like what the title says). I'm thinking of changing the OS in my computer to Windows Vista XP SP3 and the driver for the modem will be gone. I have the CD here in our house because the cable operator who installed it accidentally left it.

Question: Do I need any specific information for me to install it or can I install it by my own? I don't want to risk doing anything in my computer if I can't do it on my own and I don't want to let the operator install it again because the re-installation through them has a payment.

Can a Windows OS installer run if I put it on a flash drive? It's too expensive if I'm going to buy a cd and burn it.

  • Poem title help.......?

Anyone knows the title of this poem:

    A song of anticipation follows

    Black-leather footsteps

    Seconded my the pitter-pattering

    Of a fist-sized machine

I am jailed by your memory

    These bars of sunlight

    And walls of sunset smoke

Even in time, as each broken-hearted

    Fragment of elemental disposure

    Configures into sympathic visions

    Melting to memories

Pictures hanged by cherry wood frames

And dry silk onto the walls

It embeds albums of time and

    Glossed fractures of torn destinies

In this cage, I spin into a coffin

    And break away to glass

I, a restless bird, yearning for freedom

    From the chains of tyranny

    In this momentum, I confide,

in which I could never understand

Love travels in a cycle of mirage-fogged aura

It’s when the eyes of nightingales

    Rise onto angel wings

And the ink they write it on

Has just no story to tell

In riddle, I explain these contritions

    In fallen tears of memories

But what is never to be occurred

    From the sins you’ve planted

    Tell why I’m alive..”
