What do you feed your 10-12 month old?

Are you still doing purees? Or is it mostly finger food? If so, do you just feed them exactly what you eat only cut into bite-sized pieces, or do you prepare seperate meals for them?

Besides bite-sized veggies, soft fruits, crackers, bread, and pasta, and bite sized pieces of meat, what do your babies like to eat? Are you still really avoiding salt or do they end up eating what you make for yourself which probably has salt in it?

Sorry so many questions. I'm just wondering how creative I can be with my 11 month old son. I think he's bored of frozen peas and pieces of whole grain bread and tasteless boiled chicken. He seems to love BBQ ribs and meatballs. Is that bad?

Update:

My son has had 8 teeth since 7.5 months old! He's got a few more big ones on the way now!

Update 2:

And he actually bit off an apple that I was eating this morning and chewed it up and swallowed it just like a grownup would.

At this age my daughter was 90% on table and finger foods. The only purees she was getting were meats -- she got teeth very late, and never seemed to like the regular meats I shredded up for her. She mostly ate what we ate. If something was inappropriate, she got a simple alternative (cheerios, yogurt, etc.)

I myself don't cook with salt, so most of the table foods she got were saltless, except for whatever was in processed foods. (Like canned tomato sauce.)

Both my ladies have been entirely became off by way of youngster meals by way of that age. Just feed them what you are consuming. This is a high-quality rationale to make certain that you're consuming healthful so they are going to, too. Try to consume plenty of veggies and end result, simply reduce them up into small portions that she will be able to manage. As for the clinginess, do not fear, it is common. But she's at an age now wherein you'll be able to inform her no and permit her cry slightly. I discover that for the youngster years, it really works out pleasant in case you play a bit of at the same time, paintings a bit of at the same time, play a bit of at the same time, and so forth. If she will be able to keep just about you and he or she learns that it is going to be her flip quickly, she'll ultimately be extra inclined to assist you to get stuff performed. And hiya, now's a high-quality time to contain her in condominium paintings and stuff. My two year ancient likes to dirt with the swiffer or blank with a sponge. I make up stuff for her to scrub at the same time I do the truly paintings.

I gave mine a combination of table food and baby food. at that age, mine was a very selective eater, I wanted to make sure she would at least eat a variety of foods and still make sure she got staples.

But at 12 months, my daughter only had 2 teeth, I did not give her ribs nor meetballs.
