Increase Running Stamina?
I pretty much suck at running. I have no endurance, a little after a minute and I am done! I am overweight but I have been losing yet I see girls half my size who still have problems so my common sense told me being thin and fit are two different things. I wanna be able to run for two reasons.
1. Found out next year I have a gym teacher who makes us run almost everyday and bluntly, always being the last to finish would be pretty embarrassing.
2. When I reach my target weight I'd like to get into soccer
I'd like to know if there is a certain routine to get my body accustomed to running longer. Also is it possible to get better at running by using a stationary bike? I don't live in too good a neighborhood and I have to fight with my mom just to be able to walk to a friends house let alone get permission to run around aimlessly...I figured as long as I got my heart rate used to being up that it would also effect my running.
Thanks for you input.

try to run for 25 - 30 minutes a day for 4 days a week, then step it up and try running 5 days a week for 40 - 50 minutes and you will start to get comfortable with the small stuff. i have a schedule my team is using. it is a 8 week running schedule and contact me if you want it. I i hope you do well next year. Make sure you drink 100 ounces of water a day to stay hydrated.
