What can cause a cat to sporadically act sick?
About 8 months ago, my cat started acting sick. She didn't want to eat much, didn't move much and didn't want to play. I took her to the vet and had a blood panel done but they couldn't figure out anything wrong with her and they wanted to do a bunch of tests I couldn't afford. I took her home and she was fine a few days later. This past week, she started acting sick again. I didn't take her to the vet, and now she's back to herself. Any ideas?

Scary! You could be looking at something or nothing. I know that is not what you wanted to hear but it would be unusual for a cat to just pretend to be ill. I don't recall of one I ever heard of. I worked for several vets and have had many cats of my own. If they act sick they usually are. I wonder, is it a female acting that way during heat? You didn't say if it was spayed. I haven't really seen a cat act that way but they do have unusual actions during heat. Surely your vet would have thought of that. I hope you find out if she is ok soon! Please let us know if you find out something! Good Luck!

Cats at times can be very moody. If she does the 3 things that healthy cats do, eats, drinks, and poops, then she is probably just being a cat.

If she goes outdoors I'd suspect contact poisoning (do your neighbors do lawn treatments? Is the city spraying for mosquitoes or gypsy moths?)
If she's indoors only, do you have plants she can get into that might be toxic? Or are you using cleaning solvents in the bathtub or roach sprays?

No - yet tuna could make a cat sick. it may reason kidney/liver failure and blindness using loss of taurine. The tiny bit you fed your cat did no longer kill him. till you have an post-mortem achieved on him, you will no longer understand why he died. could have been something from coronary heart attack or previous age. i'm sorry on your loss, however the tuna did no longer kill him.

If you had a small catnip plant growing somewhere in your yard (sometimes they spring up), your cat could have found and eaten it. It usually causes vomiting.
