A little uncertain of my sign?
I was supposed to be born in June and be a Gemini but ended up not being born for an extra month making it July and causing me to be considered a Cancer. However since I was supposed to be born in June would it be possible to be more of a Gemini than a cancer?
I ask this because from reading books or horoscopes and such with my friends, when stuff about them would be dead on felt like I was reading a bunch of nonsense. For example: Cancers are supposed to be clingy, homely, and want families and such. Whereas I lean more to Gemini because I get restless when I'm bored at home, a family is the last thing I have in mind and desire immense freedom. Also I cant stand pack rats, this coming from my mother whose sign is a cancer and we are pretty much polar opposites in the traits we are supposed to have.

Good thing I came across your question because in sidereal astrology, Gemini goes from June 14th-July 15th. If you were born in early-mid July, then you're still a Gemini and it's no wonder you'd fit the Gemini characteristics, instead of Cancer. Gemini used to go from May 22-June 21, but that was over 2000 years ago, and sidereal astrologers go by the current position of the stars that made up the zodiac signs. Tropical astrologers still want to keep Gemini in May and June, which of course is inaccurate to sidereal astrologers. Hope this has made a lot of sense for you.

When you take your first independent breath, outside your mother, is when you are born. That is when your Sun Sign and birth chart is determined. Doctors are only guessing when they tell someone when a baby is "supposed" to be born.
If you feel you are not enough Cancer-like, there could be other reasons.Your Moon Sign & Rising Sign have a very strong influence. It is quite possible your Mercury or Venus could be in Gemini. You need to look at your entire personal birth chart, not just your Sun Sign. You are a Cancer. The rest of your chart will add other influences.

Baby Aries is right.
I was like 'Astrology is full of crap' but then I researched my whole birth chart and found out that I'm not a social Sagittarius because my moon sign is the reason I'm very private and not talkative.
I still don't really believe in it but I definitely find it interesting. Google 'birth chart astrology' or something like that and find out what you're really like.

This is very common for Gemini/Cancer ascendants. Statistically, 85.4% of "soft Geminis" also suffer from gender confusion issues. The males tuck their penis between their legs, parade around their rooms like fairies, and pretend they are chicks. The females end up becoming Chasitity Bono.

sun signs aren't everything is astrology. you have to look at your WHOLE BIRTH CHART to determine what kind of personality you have.
