Name of movie about old couple on lake/cabin?
Anybody know of a movie about an old couple wrestling with being at the end of their lives while on vacation in a cabin by the lake? I think it was made in either the 80s or 90s and I think it's called, "[something] lake," but can't remember the name.

Yes, indeed it is On Golden Pond. Henry Fonda and Katherine Hepburn as the elder couple and Jane Fonda as their daughter.

berlyn is right, it's on golden pond, henry fonda's last film, with his daughter, jane fonda, also starring kathryn hepburn and dabney coleman.

"the notebook" is the name of that movie.... it made me cry... I love that movie .... the old woman gets alzheimers and the husband converts their home into a rest home so he can stay with his wife. and he reads to her out of the book she wrote everyday just so she will remember him,,,, It's so sad
