Beach day with friends; period time; no tampons. Help?
So I'm going to be spending most of tomorrow at the beach with my friends, but I just got my period today.! And I know some of you will say that you actually can go swimming without a tampon while you're on your period, but they aren't an option. My mother won't let me use them, and I'm not going to see her until after so I can't ask again. The swimming part isn't the issue, it's the fact that we are going to be in our bathing suits for the whole time!:o What should I do?

Wear a pad without wings with your bathing suit, and put shorts on over your bottoms. It's fine to go in the ocean, but I wouldn't swim in a pool..

Hey I'm Mimi, ( I'm 12 turning 13 this year and I don't have my period yet ) But I know everything about them because I have this book thats got information, tips and facts about puberty, periods and growing up.
Wear bathers with a pad and shorts or a little skirt or something over the top and just paddle in the pool with your feet to your knees in the water or sit on the sand.

I'd just wear some matching shorts over your bottoms and then your regular top. You will still look cute and it will allow you to deal with your problem at the same time.

i would use tampons anyway. ask you friends if they have them of buy some. if u dont want to do that wear shorts over your bathing suit.
