What are some good books about a psychopath?
I'm looking for some new, different types of books to read. I am very fascinated with the human brain and how different people think, in fact I hope to become a psychologist when I finish school. I would really love to read something from the viewpoint of someone living with a mental disorder. Or a book from the viewpoint of a psychopath, or even a sociopath, would be welcomed as well. If you know of any good, interesting ones like this, please list them for me, and I'll give 10 points to whoever lists the most and most accurate ones. Thanks in advance!

i don't really read anything like that because id probably get scared, but "Hate List," by Jennifer Brown you might enjoy. And you might learn a lot about psychology from it!

Well are you looking for Fiction or Non-Fiction?
The movie American Psycho is based on a book by Bret Easton Ellis. It's not a very realistic book, since it's a satire but that character is super crazy. LOL.
Also the TV series Dexter is based on books as well and he's a self proclaimed sociopath. It's a whole series beginning with Darkly Dreaming Dexter. They are by Jeff Lindsay.
These probably won't interest you if you want biographical or auto-biographical books though.

This one:
This very day happened to be the fifth of September, which meant that she had murdered her husband exactly a year ago. Just because she had murdered Patrick Maloney, wasn’t going to stop her from killing another innocent man.
Gradually, Mary made her way to the cellar, and opened the freezer. It only contained one, single item, a frozen lamb leg. A week ago she had bought it at the grocer’s and has been saving it ever since.
Reaching her hand into the bitter cold, Mary retrieved the raw lamb, which felt like ice on her skin. Ambling up the stairway, she dropped the raw meat into her handbag and explained to her husband that she was going on a walk. Departing the house, Mary struggled to appear normal and casual. She was just any ordinary person out on a afternoon walk. She was heading towards Sam’s house, the grocer’s home. The other night he had invited her over for lunch, not having a clue about her marriage. Arriving at the doorway, Mary pounded her fists on the rough wood. Instantly, Sam opened the door, “Good afternoon Mary,” Sam greeted her. “Hello Sam,” She replied, smiling cheerfully. Returning the grin, Sam opened the doorway widely so that she could enter his house. Walking inside, Mary felt the warmth on her skin and glanced around the place, “Did you clean today?” she questioned. “Well, why have a messy house when I’ve got a guest?” He pointed out and motioned for her to follow him to the kitchen. Sam had already prepared tea and sandwiches for lunch. Neatly, the sandwiches were stacked on a plate and the warm tea remained sitting on the table. “Sit down,” Sam insisted, settling himself in a chair. Nervously, Mary sat down and sipped at her tea. “How are the children doing?” Sam questioned, grabbing a sandwich from the plate. “They’re doing rather fine,” She replied, “Jim’s taking care of them this afternoon,” Sam nearly choked on his sandwich, “Jim?” He repeated, sounding startled by the remark, “Who is Jim?” While staring at the floor, Mary grinned, a dark, evil, grin, “He’s my husband,” Mary explained. “Your husband?” Sam was completely puzzled, “You never told me. If you are married why are you here right now? I don’t want you to be cheating?” Cheating was exactly what Patrick had done to Mary. She didn’t reply. Instead Mary opened her handbag, digging her fingers inside, feeling around for the raw lamb leg. Grabbing it, she stood up, holding the raw meat in her hand. Frowning, Sam stared at her, “What the...” He more puzzled than anything right now. Honestly, he didn’t have a clue about what was going on, “Mary, are you alright?”
“Stand up,” She ordered raising her voice.
Feeling both panicked and scared, Sam stood on his feet. With a strong force, Mary knocked him to the ground using the raw meat. Unconscious, he fell to the floor, hitting his head on the chair along the way. By now, he was dead.
Casually, Mary grasped her handbag and departed the house, taking the lamb with her. Minutes later she returned home and yelled to her husband, “Honey! I’m cooking lamb for supper!” Now there would be no more murders until next year.
