What are some good Teen/Young Adult romance books?

I recently finished 'The Kingdom of Childhood' by Rebecca Coleman and was wondering if anyone could recommend some similar books if they've read it.

To those who haven't, well basically I'm looking for a book about teenage romance.

None of those Twilight books, or stories about characters batteling cancer or some other illness and being sad that their lover is sad blah blah.

Fantasy would be nice! Like...Eragon with a relationship, making-out and maybe some sex.

Just a book containing two teenagers from 16-18/19, living in either "modern times" or some fantasy time (immortals, vampies (NO Twilight...please) people with weird powers etc.) and have a close relationship including a lot of contact, lul.

'The Great Gatsby' by F. Scott Fitzgerald is set in the jazz era so to modern young adults that's almost a 'fantasy' time! It's a meaningful story of love, betrayal, longing, striving, loss and all of those other irksome elements intrinsically inherent to a romantic love story. There's easily something that any emotionally able 16-18/19 year old would connect with as it is, as with all great love stories, full of timeless themes that anyone who has ever loved (and lost) can relate to. It does have some sadness in it but you're going to come up fast with a very short list if you want to exclude any love stories that are tragic! The play, 'Romeo and Juliet' as someone else has mentioned as a suggestion is about as tragic a romance as they come! Shakespeare who wrote it, coined the phrase, 'It's better to have loved, and to have lost, than never to have loved at all.' If that gives you any idea of how well he understood matters of the heart?

    THE SILVER LOCKET - http://www.amazon.com/The-Silver-Locket-ebook/dp/B...

When Jennifer finds her daughter is not home from school yet, her past flashed before her eyes with the memories of Jacy, love, death and becoming a mother at the age of sixteen.

People would stop Jenny and ask if the child she was with was her sister. "No this is my child." Yet the looks she got hurt her. She was 16 years old when her life changed forever. Despite being raised in a Christian home with strict religious values, some of her choices were careless, and they came with weighty consequences.

A strange combination of sadness and joy overcome her when she turns back the clock. Names and faces float through her mind like ghosts that still haunted her but as always, a smile forms on her face and she remembers only love.

    A STRUGGLE OF THE HEART - http://www.amazon.com/Struggle-Heart-ebook/dp/B006...

A young woman faces the age-old dilemma: what to do when you are torn between two lovers?

Annette, a beautician in Norman, Oklahoma, does not believe sheā€™ll ever find love, let alone two men who fall head over heels for her. Aaron, a handsome and virile Native American with long dark hair and sensuous brown eyes, draws her to him like a magnet. Tim, a good-looking, happy-go-lucky fellow, is always there to help, care for and comfort her.

With Aaron, it is love at first site, while Tim grows on her over time. How will she ever decide? It seems at first that fate might make the decision for her when Aaron joins the army and is stationed overseas. While he is gone, Tim fills the huge void left in her aching heart.

At the same time, Annette knows she must follow her own dream. After the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, she yearns to find a more fulfilling job helping others. This leads her to begin emergency medical training and after that, to attend paramedic school.

Upon graduation, Tim asks for Annetteā€™s hand in marriage but what about Aaron, who just returned home from Afghanistan? It is truly ā€œA Struggle of the Heartā€ as Annette finds herself torn between two lovers.

    Hope this helps :)
