Kenwood DPX-U5120 flashing protect?

My kenwood stereo is flashing "protect" and I can't do anything else except for ejecting a CD.

I'm not sure what caused it though it happend when I stopped, turned off the car but then quickly turned the key again so I could listen to music while waiting for a friend. I have a feeling that could have caused it but I have no idea what to do! I can't get into any menu's and currently have no idea where the box with the manual is. Anyone know what to do to fix this? If I have to unplug stuff, tell me what?

Bleh.

i have this same one and this is a common problem though im not quite sure what causes it but i fixed my by removing the face plate and with a sharp pincile push and hold the small reset button untill it beeps. thats the easy way but if that does not work remove the positive wire from the battery for 5 min and then repeat first step if needed

usualy when kenwood radios go into protect it meant that a speaker is either blown or grounding out somewhere if you reset it it will work for a little bit then just go into protect again the best way to make it stop is to figure out what speaker is making it go into protect and either replace it or unhook it also... i work in a car audio show and you wouldnt believe how much we fix best buys installs they suck for car audio installation but it is still most likely the speakers and thats all they probably did was reset the radio
