what do you think of a person who always sighs?

sigh ~ to let out one's breath audibly, as from sorrow, weariness.

I have an officemate who does not complain but he lets everyone hear his sigh, he does this to all things...

he has a new task - he sighs, (haiy!)

his computer is loading ~ (exhales slowly and loudly)

someone got promoted - he sighs

boss is calling him - he sighs in front of the boss

he receives an email - he sighs

we have a meeting - he sighs

the meeting is over, go back to work - he sighs

doesnt this type of person annoys you too? I just wonder how will this affect his life?

do you think I have the right guess that he will not be successful in his future?

This kind of person is someone I cannot tolerate much... I stay away as much as I can.

The "sigh" sends out a very negative energy and it permeates inside the room... Frustrated... disappointed... or bitter is all I can think of to describe this kind of person. However, perhaps, this person needs someone to talk to... some ears that are willing to listen and talk out his issues. Maybe he is the kind that bottle things up... I am feeling that it is unpleasant to be in his shoes... but... maybe, he just needs a chance to be heard and discuss his emotions and mentality... It could be serious.

I believe that there is a psychological and emotional disorder with sighing all the time. It could be the result of lack of confidence, wanting attention, and/or just plain laziness due to noncompliance.

And yes, I find it annoying too.

    Why is this in philosophy?

Sighing isn't going to drastically change his life. Maybe how other people view him. Maybe something's wrong with him. You could go ask.

Or maybe he's just lazy and reluctant to do things.

He obviously can't appreciate what he has. He needs to chill.

Source(s): Remember that no matter how bad it seems, some people have it much worse.
