IPhone, iPad not charging: CHARGING NOT SUPPORTED WITH THIS ACCESSORY?
My iPhone 2G on IOS 3.1.3 + my iPhone 3GS on IOS 6.0.1 + my iPad 1 on IOS 5.1.1

JUST FIGURED IT OUT THIS MORNING BECAUSE I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.
I have iPhone 2g, 3G & 3GS + first iPad 1. All came with the big with first series charger,,,,,My sisters iPhone 4 use a smaller charger that you plug the USB into. I took my iPad 1 & used the small one and it WORKED,,,,,then I tried one that was not sold by apple & it WORKED.
So I thing the problem is the older plus that are larger than the iPhone 4 chargers. My iPhone 2G is on IOS 3.1.3. My iPhone 3GS is on IOS 6.0.1. My iPad first series is on IOS 5.1.1. It took me a this whole week to figure this out but now it's figured & wright now typing without the BIGGER charger is working fine (-:
