Motorola DCT 700 Cable Box?
Q 1. I have a older Motorola DCT 700 receiver that was originally supplied by Charter. Would it work as a TV tuner?
Q. 2 Does it have to be (re) set by Charter to use as originally intended?
Q 3. Is it useful for anything?

It is only good for you to receive Charter. It needs activated by them.
If you don't want it any more, you need to return it to Charter.
