Why do my blinker lights turn of and on after resetting the computer on my car?

After disconnecting and reconnecting the neg. battery term. on my 1997 Subaru Outback Legacy to reset my car's computer, the front and rear blinker lights turn on and off continually.

Why is this happening and what can I do to end this continual blinking?

Update:

I needed to reset the computer because the check engine light was continually on and after putting sea foam in the gas tank the check engine light does not come on! Just the rear tail and brake lights and the front turn lights along with all the dash lights turning on and off continually.

How do I take care of this new problem???

its a car alarm that has been disconnected from the horn, and your not resetting anything by disconnecting the battery, your just setting a p1000 code,

you do not look after the subject! that's evident for the reason which you purely drove around with a CEL lit and in no way did something approximately it! Ever hear approximately getting the codes examine? Now you F'ed up the electrical powered equipment. What did you do? Disconnect the battery with the ignition became on? Or did you place the only 2 cables back on backwards? i could close the hood and stumble on a mechanic in the past you smash some thing else!
