What to do after a moth caterpillar pupates?

I had a moth caterpillar (Angle Shades) which has now pupated under a pile of nettles and wood chip. What do I do for it now? It's made a little den of silk covering it's pupated body (with a little room to spare) and I was wondering if it will be able to get out of that 'tent' of silk when it emerges, which should be two to three weeks (apparently). What do I do after it has?

Update:

Fat lot of use you people are.

You don't need to do anything; it will be able to get out by itself. But make sure it has a place it can crawl up to dry/harden its wings, which will be crumpled and wet when it first ecloses. If you have it in a plastic container with slippery sides, put in a stick for it to crawl up. If you are lucky enough to actually see it emerge, that's a bonus. What you do after it has, is to give it its freedom.

Try giving it it's freedom to be a free moth, or are you practicing to become a leader (or controller) of humans in the future!!! ( like religions or governments )

i think it would be hibernating, in the event that they certainly do hibernate - if it became into ineffective it would be dry and brittle. i did no longer be attentive to caterpillars hibernated. i might imaged they shorten up and end responding to stimuli while they do while they hibernate.

Nothing!..You can`t do anything for it. It does not need your help. Just observe and learn about God`s creations..until it flies away.
