Ugh, what am I going to do?

I cannot for the life of me find a verse that teaches that the wicked will spend eternity alive in Hell being tortured forever! Instead I found this::

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What am I going to do? Man has taught for a very long time that God is going to torture people forever, but the Bible doesn't say that!

Do you think I should believe what the Bible says or what man says?

Well...spending eternity alive in Hell" is no where, nada, nil, naught, zilch, zip, zero times in the Bible. So, I guess you're gonna have to believe the Bible or believe the lie (man)...

I prefer to use my own brain instead of someone else's. To me, there is no eternal hell. There is death for whomever God judges to die, and heaven for whomever God chooses. That's why I'm not a fan of denominations. I use to be. Denominations all have an agenda and want us to walk in lockstep. Ain't gonna do it no more.
