  • Why are there Atheists who think that EVERY Christian?

was indoctrinated/brainwashed from the cradle so that is the only reason we believe in God, Jesus, and the Bible?

Here are some things to consider before you answer:

    1. People who are brainwashed don’t question their beliefs or what they’ve been told. I, for one, have. 2. How do such people explain the fact that there are people who are born in other religious homes who at a later point in their life become a Christian? 3. What about people who are born into Atheist homes who later in their life become a Christian? 4. What about those people who become Christians when they’re teens or adults? 5. What about people who are born into Christian families but become Atheists later in life? 6. Further the Bible teaches us to question.

I Thessalonians 5:21 Test everything. Hold on to the good.

Proverbs 18:15 The mind of the prudent acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

  • I Have a Bible Question.?

Will someone show me where the Bible says,

"Believe in Me or I will torture you forever!"

Atheists say that is what the Bible teaches, so I was wondering where they got that from in the Bible?

    Anyone may answer.

  • Ugh, what am I going to do?

I cannot for the life of me find a verse that teaches that the wicked will spend eternity alive in Hell being tortured forever! Instead I found this::

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What am I going to do? Man has taught for a very long time that God is going to torture people forever, but the Bible doesn't say that!

Do you think I should believe what the Bible says or what man says?

  • Which one is correct?

When God was telling Adam and Eve the punishment if they disobeyed Him which of the following did He tell them?

    A. Genesis 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

    B. Genesis 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely be tortured for all eternity.

    C. Genesis 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely eat worms for breakfast.

    D. Genesis 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely have horrendous gas.

Also there seems to be something wrong with this Bible verse. Can any kind soul tell me what it is?

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is eternal life in never ending torture; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  • John 3:16 and Eternal Torture?

If you were writing the Bible so it taught eternal torture, is this how you would rewrite John 3:16?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not be tortured for eternity, but have everlasting life.

If not, how would you rewrite it?

The actual John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

  • Great humiliation and Great Sobbing for a 1,007 years.?

This preacher says that there will be Christians who will experience great humiliation/shame at the Bema Seat. These Christians will be red faced and greatly embarrassed. They will spend a literal 1,007 years wailing and weeping and crying in horrible shame. This 1,007 years is during the Great Tribulation and the 1,000 year reign of Christ.

    Two questions:

Do you believe this is true?

If this is true, and you were one of those Christians not greatly humiliated, would you go over and comfort those Christians who were or would you say, "Too bad so sad"?

  • Do you know what verse Jesus was referring to when He said?

    Take a look:

Mark 9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Isaiah 66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the CARCASES of the men that have transgressed against me: FOR THEIR WORM SHALL NOT DIE, NEITHER SHALL THEIR FIRE BE QUENCHED; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Did you notice it said CARCASES? Are Carcases dead or alive?

  • How can ET be true when the fact is the wicked will be burped up and made into ashes?

Malachi 4:4 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh SHALL BURN THEM UP, saith the Lord of hosts, that IT SHALL LEAVE THEM NEITHER ROOT NOR BRANCH. 2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. 3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; FOR THEY SHALL BE ASHES under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.

    BQ:

    Which is correct?

    A. I John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

    B. I John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath eternal torture.

  • ET Believers...Consider please the following:?

The wicked will be NO MORE, COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN, THEY WILL BE AS IF THEY NEVER EXISTED. ( Note: This cannot be true if they will be tortured forever in Hell because they would still exist and would not be forgotten.)

Psalm 9:3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence. 5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, THOU HAST PUT OUT THEIR NAME FOREVER AND EVER..

Psalm 37:10 For yet a little while, and THE WICKED SHALL NOT BE: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, AND IT SHALL NOT BE. 20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

Psalm 104:35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and LET THE WICKED BE NO MORE. Bless thou the Lord, O my soul. Praise ye the Lord.

Psalm 140:10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that THEY RISE UP NOT AGAIN.

Proverbs 2:22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

Proverbs 10:25 As the whirlwind passeth, SO IS THE WICKED NO MORE: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

Isaiah 26:14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and MADE ALL THEIR MEMORY TO PERISH.

Isaiah 41:11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: THEY SHALL BE AS NOTHING; and they that strive with thee shall perish.12 Thou shalt seek them, and SHALT NOT FIND THEM, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee SHALL BE AS NOTHING, AND AS A THING OF NOUGHT.

Obadiah 1:15 For the day of the Lord is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.16 For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and THEY SHALL BE AS THOUGH THEY HAD NOT BEEN.

  • Many believe in ET, but can they explain....?

The fact that the Bible says the wicked will perish not be tortured forever?

Isaiah 41:11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall PERISH.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not PERISH, but have everlasting life.

Luke 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise PERISH.

II Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should PERISH, but that all should come to repentance.

I Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that PERISH foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

  • If ET is true, then explain the fact that...?

The Bible speaks of the destruction of the wicked.

Psalm 92:7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be DESTROYED for ever:

Psalm 145:20 The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he DESTROY.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to DESTRUCTION, and many there be which go in thereat:

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to DESTROY both soul and body in hell. (notice it says destroy BOTH body AND soul.)

Philippians 3:19 Whose end is DESTRUCTION, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

    2 Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting DESTRUCTION from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

  • If ET is true, then how come the Bible is clear that?

the wages of sin is Death?

Genesis 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely DIE.

Ezekial 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall DIE.

Ezekial 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye DIE, O house of Israel?

James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth DEATH.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is DEATH; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  • Jesus is dead they say? Hmm...?

If Jesus is dead, as some claim, then how come the Pharisees didn't produce His dead corpse? How come they didn't parade the dead body of Jesus through the streets? They hated Him with a passion and wanted Him and His cause dead. So why didn't they parade Him dead through the streets and nip Christianity off at the bud? They knew where He was buried. All they had to do was go get His dead corpse and parade it through the streets. Voila! No Christianity!

That didn't happen because there was no dead body to parade.

I expect logical answers not "Well, uh Jesus sucks eggs!" and no red herrings: "Uh the Bible is full o contradictions!"

Oh and if this gets deleted, like the other one, it will only prove that Atheists have NO answer and are being cowards. There's nothing wrong with saying, "I don't have an answer."

  • What do you think of this dream I had?

I dreamt that there was this guy. He was showing these people this Jesus movie. In the movie, there was the part of Jesus' scourging. They were beating the crap out of Jesus. I mean like enraged psychopaths or something. Jesus was in complete and total agony. Actually agony isn't quite the word to use to describe it. It was horrendous how they were just whacking at Him. I remember seeing it and hearing Jesus crying out Abba! That is all I seen was just the horrific scourging. I mean the people who were scourging Jesus were just beyond sadistic and cruel.
