It is normal nowadays, but it is not right. Getting to know someone takes time. You need to know the person for at least one full year (of close friendship...without sex of course), to deterimine if you really know them well enough to spend a future with them. I say at least one year, but in most cases it could be longer. Don't fall for the, I love you...3 months in dating is nothing to say I love you to.
Tell the person that you like them, but you want to get to know them, and if they really like you, then they will take the time to get to know you also. Be direct and nice. If they don't simply want to use you, they will be willing to spend time with you (without sex) to get to know you.
Appreciate yourself...it's hard to find reliable men and women these days.

Maybe.... It depends on the chemistry you guys have and if you feel the same way. 5+ months is probably average
