removing secondary cats and putting mufflers back on?

I'm currently running an invidia mid pipe and dual muffler deletes from a megan racing axle back exhaust system. The loudness of the exhaust is to my liking but the exhaust tone is too high pitched (I liked it better when I still had my mufflers). My question now is, if I put back my mufflers and instead, removed my secondary cats, would the exhaust volume still be just as loud as when I had pipes instead of dual mufflers or would removing the cats not change the loudness of the exhaust at all? Thanks!

Update:

The car is a 2012 Lexus IS250, so V6 engine. I know there's a way to make it sound good to my taste but I've already been through multiple exhaust setups and haven't gotten the right sound yet.

Well the missing part of the discussion is: what is the vehicle? what is the engine? are you trying to make a V6 sound like a V8? Uncork a V6 and it sounds too high pitched because it isn't a V8. 2 extra cylinders is what is needed to produce a V8 burble if that is the sound you are trying to tune for.

Expansion chambers of any form (cat or muffler) should help take the edge off the V6 crisp high note. Assuming we're talking about a V6 here, uncorking it doesn't make it more sexy, leave your cats on and leave your mufflers on.

it will change exaust output and possibly violate state law you might check
