What is with the "hidden answer"?
The ones I have seen are often good answers with several thumbs up.
How are they becoming hidden and why??

Relevance, which is the new default display option for answers.
There's apparently new software that is determining which answers are, or are not, relevant to the question and basing that determination on whether or not the answer contains most or at least some of the words used in the answer.
A very short answer such as 'Yes you can' is going to be hidden because it will be 'read' as having nothing to do with the question. Similarly, I imagine most spam answers will also be hidden. However, if the answer contains at least a few of the same words (not 'the' or 'a' or 'for', obviously ... but 'keywords'), the software will recognize that and consider the answer relevant.

i think yahoo should improve this problem ,some guys answer early then their answer is
hidden ,it cannot be seen if don't see this hidden answer button

Because new comments are posted and they are bumped down if you can click HIDDEN ANSWERS
