Girlfriend in a romantic sense means a person you're dating regularly, when neither of you is married to anyone else. (If one of you is married, and you're having an affair, then the female partner in the affair is a mistress, not a girlfriend.) In a nonromantic sense, female friends sometimes refer to each other as girlfriends.

A crush is someone you have an infatuation with or a strong attraction to, but are not dating or otherwise involved with. A crush can be someone who knows you, or someone who doesn't even know you exist, such as a movie star.

A spouse is a husband or a wife.

    Hello, Raja!

A "crush" is a feeling that is more than that expressed in a friendship but not quite being in love.

A "spouse" is either a wife or a husband--a marriage partner.
